The cascade controller is a control algorithm (commonly used in ovens) that uses two links, fast and slow. The fast is able to stabilize the contour in a short period of time, the main link or the slow loop is rather a contour for targeting. Dual PID control thus allows for better process tuning. At the same time, we use one crane (valve) in the system, and two flow sensors. One is located at the end of the contour, the second at the beginning. The cascade PID controller itself is divided into two interconnected parts, the main (slow) one is the setpoint adjuster for the PID controller, which directly controls the valve.
This document provides an example of a description of the control algorithm. The document was developed for the purpose of a clear and understandable presentation of the material for both the technologist and the programmer of the middle and upper level of this system. Separately, the vertical lines show where the signals come and go, the signals associated with the upper level are graphically described. In the middle of the document, the control algorithm itself is drawn, demonstrating the basic connections and actions of the mode switches.
In this example of describing the control algorithm, two systems were combined.
