Establishing a connection MODBUS_TCP_ANYBUS_MODBUS_RTU

The instruction allows you to set up the communication module step by step ANYBUS MODBUS-TCP Server

1. In order to establish and test the connection between the components, you need to create a stand.

Stand composition:

a) Chassis M340

b) CPS2000 power supply

c) Processor module P342020

d) ANYBUS MODBUS-TCP Server

e) USB-COM Trendnet TU-S9 (or equivalent)

f) Communication cable COM-RJ9 (included with ANYBUS)

g) Ethernet Switch for 3 ports

h) Two HUB (straight) Ethernet cables

i) Cable 220VAC

j) Twisted pair cable for 24VDC power supply

l) Deterministic cable with RJ45 at one end

2. Install the communicator software

3. Set up a Modbus port in Unity Pro XL

4. Configure Unity Pro XL Ethernet Port

5. Configure reading data from MODBUS TCP port

6. Set up the communicator using the pictures below

7. Download settings to Anybus communicator

8. Important!!! Change the Fieldbus parameter - Modbus TCP address mode to Disabled

9. Important!!! After adjusting the work of the READ_VAR library, a restart (stop-start) of the controller is required

10. A convenient debugging tool for Modbus TCP is the utility Modbus TCP Toolbox
