Design assignment

Technical specification for an automated control system of a complex of seventeen drying chambers of dried fruits.

The system consists of two software components, between which two-way information exchange is carried out.

Component A is a SCADA system.

Component B is an external database management System (DBMS) and a user program for working with an external DBMS.

A. Description of the functionality of the SCADA system.

I. Description of the complex.

The complex consists of standard fruit drying chambers

II. The drying chamber equipment used.

Sensors.

1) Product temperature sensors (4 pcs.).

2) Temperature/humidity sensor in the chamber volume.

3) Temperature sensor on the edge of the heater.

Regulators.

1) Air heater with two fans. Fans work constantly during the entire drying cycle of dried fruits.

2) Supply and exhaust ventilation to ensure the removal of moisture.

Auxiliary equipment.

1) Extraction fans (3 pieces) to intensify the mixing of the gas medium.

They work constantly during the entire drying cycle of dried fruits.

Setpoint and hysteresis are parameters available via the interface.

V. Controlled parameters.

1) The air temperature in the chamber volume. The difference between the average temperature of the product and the temperature in the volume should not exceed a certain value set by the parameter. If exceeded, regulation is suspended. The parameter is available via the interface.

2) The temperature at the edge of the air heater. When the lower limit (parameter) is reached, cooling is suspended. When the upper limit (parameter) is reached, heating is suspended.

The parameters are available via the interface.

3) The power supply of the humidifier is removed and supplied again to carry out the washing cycle after a certain time interval (parameter). The parameter is available via

the . VI. Management interface.

Option 1. Manual operation. The operator sets all the settings and turns on the regulation. In the process of regulation, the operator can change the setpoints.

Option 2. Management of the technological program. The program is divided into 3 stages.

Stage No. 1 – Heating.

The setpoints of the product temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide concentration, ethylene concentration are unchanged for the entire stage. The end time of the stage is determined by reaching the setpoint temperature of the product. The heating rate (degrees/hour) should not exceed a certain value (parameter). The parameter is available via the interface. Stage #2 – Weathering.

The humidity settings are unchanged for the entire stage.

The stage time is set in hours. Temperature is a step approximation of a linear function, given by the temperature at the beginning, the temperature at the end and the number of steps.Этап №3 – Cooling.

The setpoints of the product temperature, humidity, are unchanged for the entire stage. The cooling rate (degrees/hour) should not exceed a certain value.

The parameter is available via the interface. The end time of the stage is determined by the operator's command.

Technological programs should be stored as datasets under their own names in an external DBMS.

The operator should be able to select the program by name and save the newly entered sets under their own names.

VII. Trends/charts.

Change in values:

air temperature in the volume,

temperature on the edge of the heater,

product temperature (from 3 to 5 sensors),

average product temperature,

relative humidity,

The data is polled no more than once every 10 seconds. The polling period is set by the operator.

The stored information is the name of the quantity, value, unit of measurement, date, time.
VIII. Magazines.

1. Events.

Camera status (start of regulation in manual mode, start of regulation according to the technological program, stop of regulation). Stored information – date, time, status.

Switching regulators on/off (cooling, heating, humidification, ventilation, ethylene supply). Stored information – name, date, time, status (on/off).

Change of setpoints and their differentials:

average temperature in the product,

humidity,

Stored information – name, date, time, new value.

2. Accidents.

Accidents of cooling, heating, extraction fans, air cooler fans, exchange ventilation fans, sensors;

Accidents according to established thresholds of relative deviations for temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and ethylene concentrations, taking into account the established response time;

Stored information – name, date, time.

IX. Reports.

Upon completion of the drying process of dried fruits, reports are generated in the format "pdf /csv /xls".

Trends report:

average product temperature,

relative humidity,

carbon dioxide

concentration, ethylene concentration,

Interval is a parameter available via the interface.

The Events report.

The "Accidents" report.

Sending reports to the e-mail specified by the customer is configured.

X. SMS notification.

Notification of accidents. Database of phone numbers (up to 10 pieces) with the possibility of editing.

XI. Access control.

An access control system is being created, designed to differentiate the access of various Users to the objects of the system.

3 access levels:

1st level - Monitoring, without the possibility of management,

2nd level - Monitoring and management,

3rd level - Monitoring, management and setting of settings.

B. DBMS description.

I. The following set of relational tables is proposed.

1. Library of technological programs (to be filled in by the database operator).

Technological program is a sequence/algorithm of actions in automatic mode associated with certain technological parameters.

Fields of the table.

Name of the technological program

Setpoint of temperature_heat

Humidity setpoint_heat

Setpoint heating

Duration of weathering

Number of steps weathering

Temperature setpoint start_Weathering
