The owner of a smart home turned for help, whose Beckhoff BC9050 controller stopped working.
I transferred the source codes (files) of the programs and it only remained to understand why nothing was working.
It turned out that the owner tried to figure out the problem on his own. I downloaded TwinCAT 2 on the rutracker. He managed to understand something about what was happening in the system by reading the forums. Then the owner turned to us for help.
What did you manage to do in the end:
1. Understand the composition of the software required for programming controllers of this type.
2. Figure out how to upload the configuration file to the controller. Deal with the jubilation of variables.
3. Understand the program and check its performance.

Frequent mistakes made by novice users when designing and programming Beckhoff controllers:
1. The main and auxiliary power supplies are selected incorrectly. For example, there are certain rules under which every five blocks there must be an intermediate signal repeater, to which 24V must be supplied. In addition, the general power supply itself is sometimes chosen from insufficient power and from "left" manufacturers.
2. They use files from different, inappropriate versions of programs.
3. They forget to set the system startup flag to RUN after a reboot.
4. Do not download the target platform to the device.
5. The device is not searched correctly on the network. The controller is not always easy to find.
6. It will be impossible to connect if the default password is changed.
