Input/Output table

The list of input and output signals (symbol table) is an integral and fundamental document in the description of PCS system. Without this document, not possible to assess the scope of the system, the composition of management objects to come to the creation of the design documentation. input-output table contains a lot of information about the composition of the incoming signal in the object, such as the measurement range, the threshold boundaries, types of devices, types of protection, and more.

Explanation of column values:

Number. Through-line numbers in the control system. This column is required for easy sorting lines. Selecting the default sorting lines is best to choose the placement of channels in the modules.

An object. Technological place the device or an actuator on which it is located.

Position. Title IO channel in accordance with a selected coding and classification system.

Signal Type. If digital signals, it can be either normally open or normally closed. For analog likely integer (INT)

Signal Name. This column is inserted into the signal description in Russian. It must adequately describe the purpose of the signal.

Frame number. All controllers and modules of the system are placed in baskets. For each basket is assigned a serial number.

Module Type. This column indicates the module model in accordance with the technical specification.

Slot number in the chassis. Slot number, which is inserted into the module. Typically, in each basket 16 modules.

Channel number. Depending on the capacity of each module can be from 4 to 32 signals.

Measurement range. Which communication interface is selected for communication with the device. 4-20 mA, 0-10V, or so forth.

Maximum. The maximum value in engineering units, which can reach signal.

Minimum. The minimum value in engineering units, which can reach signal.

Units. The physical unit of the measured parameter.

Block. The block, which is placed in the input-output cabinet, which infest field signals.

Terminal (+). Terminal number, which is powered (+ 24V) field device.

Terminal (-). Terminal number, which returns the signal to the field device.

Protections. This field specifies whether the signal is involved in the protection circuit and lock.

Notes. Comments of participants in the project and commissioning.

I/O. This field is shared by the input or output signal.

Source / Signal consumer. This field indicates the location of the signal in a distributed system.
